As soon as we leave Mesopotamia, we ride along the two rivers. First of all, the Tigris, which cuts through the mountains of southeastern Turkey in spectacularly beautiful canyons. In addition, (partly flooded) cities of historical importance line the river, which unfortunately will remain in our memory in connection with our gastrointestinal tract. Lastly, we climb the 2150-meter-high Nemrut Dağı, as people did over 2000 years ago, with sheer muscle power. In addition, this episode features the big West-East Turkey-Kurdistan-Iraq comparison.
